Here we are, feeling like we are in the depths of Winter, but Spring is only a few weeks away. The days are slowly lengthening and before we know it, the weather complaint will be all about the heat.
The Annual General Meeting is next Thursday August 20. It commences as 2.oopm at BNCC ( 702 Walker St Ballarat North) After the short welcome, the wonderful U3A Ballarat Choristers will perform, now this is something worthy of braving anything the Weather Gods throw at us. Car pooling with others is a good option too.
Whilst we would rather have you there in person, look out for the Zoom link that will be emailed to members next Wednesday August 19. If circumstances prevent you from joining us for the AGM, an online digital presence is almost as good. (You would miss out on the afternoon tea you see… more cake for me!). If you do join via Zoom, please make sure you know how to have your given name and surname on the screen. ( How many members do we have named Galaxy 9 and iPhone 18 I ask?)
There are plenty of classes with vacancies, so please be aware you have options if you need something else to do, or you are new to U3A Ballarat.
